Trane High Efficiency HVAC

Why Trane as a Partner?

In Commercial buildings, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Equipment, or HVAC, uses more energy than anything else.  For that reason, you cannot talk about energy efficiency without including HVAC.

Verde partners with Trane to offer our clients high efficiency equipment that is made with US manufacturing.

High efficiency Equipment, which uses the CEE High Efficiency standard, is the top 25% efficient equipment sold on the market today.  In terms of rooftop equipment, this is rated in terms of EER, SEER, or IEER (all energy efficiency ratings).

High efficiency equipment, which qualifies for utility incentives, is typically not in stock locally.  For this reason, the ability to manufacture and deliver in a timely manner is incredibly important.  Trane is incredibly accurate in their delivery, with an over 98% delivery rate for client timelines.

High Quality Manufacturing

Made in the USA

Trane is manufactured in the United States in Clarksville, Tennessee.  Verde has walked this plant, both seeing the quality that goes into the equipment, as well as better understanding the efficiency upgrade opportunities.

In fact, Trane puts an incredibly high attention to the smallest detail, including the brazing that connects different internal copper pipes.  Even the smallest leak can be detrimental to long term performance and quality, and Trane spares no expense.

In Clarksville, Tennessee – Trane units are made in a lean manufacturing process.  There are two shifts of crews, with a heavy engineering on site staff to help improve process and equipment.

Trane is known for quality.  In fact, it is a JD Power Award winner for exceptional quality.  While it is more expensive than other brands, the long term quality is worth the initial investment – especially as roof top unit replacement requires a Crane and often expensive permitting.

Energy Efficiency Features

Economizer

An economizer is a must on modern HVAC equipment, as it brings in fresh outside air.  However, in additional, economizers can bring in outside air when it is cooler than the inside of a building.  This often happens in the sprint and fall at night, as well as during all seasons with a commercial kitchen.

Demand Control Ventilation

Commercial spaces are required by code to bring in a certain amount of outside air to keep enough oxygenated air in commercial spaces.  However, this means a small amount of super hot or super cold air is brought in and needs to be heated or cooled.

Demand control ventilation means that an additional sensor, or a C02 sensor, is on equipment and only brings in fresh air when it is called for.  This small little added equipment, often not required or included in modern equipment, can save thousands of dollars in energy costs.  It also saves unnecessary wear and tear on compressors and heat exchangers.

Variable Speed Compressor

Finally, new compresssors can actually ramp up and down – which has a lot of benefit.  First – you can get more moisture out of air when a compressor is running at low speeds.  This means that summer interior air can be lower humidity, requiring a temperature that is not as low for comfort.

Additionally, compressors work better when running non stop – so this means a compressor could be running at 5% non stop, moving air and creating comfort – instead of slamming on and off more frequently .

Trane Ulta High Efficient units come with this added feature, truly creating a high energy efficiency rating far above common market levels.

Commercial Incentives

Did you know that your local utility likely has money available through incentives on high efficiency equipment. Through analysis and careful proactive replacement, you could avoid business interruption and install a high efficient Roof Top Unit that is less expensive than the base model available.
